What real ANZ messages look like
- Login only at anz.co.nz/inet or via the goMoney NZ app
- ANZ never sends SMS with clickable links to log in or verify accounts
- Real fraud alerts phone you from a number on your card — and you can hang up and call back on the number on the card to verify
- ANZ never asks for your PIN, password, or full card number by email/SMS
Common spoof patterns
- "Suspicious transaction — verify at anz-secure.co / anz-nz.info" SMS
- "Your account is locked" emails to lookalike login pages
- "You have an unread secure message" phishing from a spoofed sender
